Suicide talk from an online friend

My son has an friend from another state that he met through a game. Lately she has been sending texts that hint around suicide. I have asked him (and he has) to send her free support resources and encourage her to talk to someone who can help. But I feel like I should do more. Do you do more or no?

I’m not sure what else you can do. If you could somehow get her parent or guardian’s contact info you could let them know with screenshots of her texts. But I’m not sure she would willingly give you that info, it depends if she wants help or not. It’s a hard spot to be in. If this was my child I would want to know so I can get them the help they need. Maybe your son could convince her to talk to you so you can guide her to proper resources and maybe find out her parent or guardians contact info.

I recommend getting as much info as possible. If it is serious, they would want an address (not yours, the girls). What they would do is someone will check on them.
